Mathangi Devi

Mathangi Devi
Mathangi Devi, the all powerful goddess, is the Manthrini Devi of Sri Lalita Parameswari. She recides in the kadamba vanam. Normally always represented in green color, the goddess is mostly accompanied by a parrot, who will be eagerly listening to the divine music that emanates from the strings of her veena.

Jaya Mathanga thanaye, Jaya Neelolpala dhyuthe,
Jaya Sangeetha rasike, Jaya Leela shuka priye
Victory to the daughter of Mathanga,
Victory to her who resembles Neelothphala flowers,
Victory to her who enjoys music,
Victory to her who likes the playful parrot.
